President Buhari will sweep the polls in Niger Delta States - Nsima Ekere
The governorship candidate of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Nsima Ekere, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the 2019 will be greater than the one in 2015.
Speaking on Sunday at the Eagle Square, Abuja, after the APC National Convention in which Buhari’s nomination was affirmed, Ekere said from the result of the presidential primary in the 36 states, it was clear that Buhari would secure even more votes from across the country than what he scored in 2015.
He said the president’s popularity rating, as reflected in his huge votes in the direct primary, had tremendously increased in all the 17 southern states from what it was three years ago, in addition to Buhari’s “rock solid support in the 19 northern states.”
Ekere, who is the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), said the president would sweep the polls in the nine Niger Delta states because of his deep interest in the development of the region.
He commended Akwa Ibom people for their show of massive support for Buhari, himself and APC and urged them to sustain the support.
