Prayer Submit: Over 8,000 women attend the September edition of Akwa Ibom Women Prayer Submit.
The monthly prayer organised by Akwa Ibom government today took a different style as women turn out in a large numbers to rendered praise and worship to God.
The September Monthly Prayer Summit took place at the Banquet Hall grounds of Government House, Uyo with the theme: UBOK ABASI .
The theme of the prayer project for this month edition is: “UBOK ABASI”, meaning, “your arm is powerful, your hand is strong, your right hand victorious” Psalm 89:13.
The first Bible reading was taken by her Excellency, Martha Emmanuel who read from the book of 2Chronicle 20:1-25.
Mrs Emmanuel appreciates the women that have interest in the progress of Akwa Ibom by coming out to pray for the growth and progress of the state.
Stating that “we don’t have any other State and it is high time we redeemed our state from the hand of the evil doers”
In her homily, Rev Angela Ashong who admonishes the Christian faithful to do away with pull down syndrome, she also advised people not to talk about the king instead they should always pray for our leaders.
Over 8,000 Akwa Ibom women attended the prayer submit, prayers were offered seeking for peace, unity and prosperity for the state and Nigeria at large.
